What is a Bachelor's Degree?
Most U.S. colleges and universities offer Bachelor's Degrees. A Bachelor's Degree
requires four years of coursework. Some schools will accept credit from community
college coursework or advanced high school courses to apply towards your degree.
Students may choose to complete a Bachelor's of Science (BS) or a Bachelor's of the
Arts (BA). In either degree, you must choose a major to specialize in and complete
the requirements for that department. Your school will help you pick the major that
is best for you.
The Benefits of Continuing Your Education
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, throughout the course of an adult's working
life, those with Bachelor's Degrees earned about 2.1 million - compared to the 1.2
million earned by high school graduates.
