Wired for Success
The skills gained from a degree justify the common expectation that job candidates
possess a formal education. A bachelor's degree in e-commerce from an accredited
school will train you perform tasks related to online business operations. These
tasks include planning, managing, supervising, and marketing electronic business
operations, products, and services. You would receive instruction in computer related
subject areas such as information technology, web design, computer privacy and security,
e-trading, electronic marketing, service networking, information resources management,
and computer and Internet law and policy. At most schools, you would gain an education
in general business areas such as business administration, investment capital planning,
personnel supervision, contracting, and enterprise operations. Once you completed
your degree, you would have a choice from among job opportunities to pursue, such
as working at a large global organization, as a consultant, or as an entrepreneur.
As the e-commerce market booms, the job prospects for those with a degree in e-commerce
have never been better.
